Statement of Intent:
It is Small Wonders Policy not to administer medication. The only medication Small Wonders Childcare will administer is when the medical condition is life threatening. Example asthma or allergic reactions or when the medication is in a controlled daily situation.
Procedures:
- Prescribed Medication must have written instructions
- Must have a written consent of parents/carers
- Administration of Medicine form completed by child’s GP
- Must have two adults present when medicine is administered
- Must have a record book containing details of the prescribed medication, date, time, etc. and signed by both adults.
